QUESTIONS
What kind of jokes do you tell to make it funny?
Short answer: I don’t tell jokes. I don’t feel they’re appropriate for a wedding. But that doesn’t mean the ceremony isn’t any fun. On the contrary! From the light-hearted and jovial welcome to telling the tale of your love, there are many ways that natural humour - that means something to you and your guests - will be woven throughout your ceremony.
How far will you travel to conduct my wedding?
My main area of focus is Toronto and the packages include travel of up to 15 kms from my East York location. For weddings beyond 15 kms, I charge $0.75 per km, per trip (after the first 15 kms). For trips longer than 150kms, or destination weddings, please enquire about travel costs. Depending on the distance and destination, rehearsal scheduling may be impacted.
What if my venue can’t accommodate a rehearsal?
Though it’s ideal to hold the rehearsal in the same location as the actual ceremony, we can rehearse in an alternate location. Ideally it has sufficient space to replicate the layout we determine for your ceremony and some type of ‘aisle’ to practice processional/recessional walking. Alternate locations could be back yards, parks or condo activity rooms.
What happens if you’re sick and unable to conduct our ceremony?
In the unlikely event that I’m not able to conduct your ceremony myself, I’ll use my connections in the Officiant community to identify a colleague who will be amazing for you. Your ceremony will already be written, and I’ll work with the new officiant to deliver the ceremony we crafted together.
How does your payment schedule work?
A 50% booking deposit is required once you decide to book me (after the get-to-know-each-other consultation). The balance will be due when you’ve received your final script (usually about 1-2 weeks before the wedding date).
How spiritual/religious are your weddings?
My ultimate goal is that wedding be a perfect reflection of the two of you. As such, it can be tailored to acknowledge various religious texts or rituals meaningful to either partner.
All of my weddings celebrate the many aspects of LOVE, which is the central theme in Metaphysical Spirituality.
